I thank you for coming into my life at a time when you were most needed. Karma is a wonderful thing.
The Muslim girl was saved because of her own grit and determination to make someone listen and care. A friend of mine is an immigration specialist who recruits bright young students to learn how to help and to care. Her class has a waiting list of two years. When she first asked me to help, I asked her what could I do, immigration is not my bag. She said simply “Care and put your talent to a meaningful cause.” The Muslim girl was brought to our attention while awaiting a deportation hearing and as a result of the collective efforts of a handful of wonderful people, she is now free. A great story I would love to share with you.
