As an example of the anticipation syndrome, I had to write an agreement for a $2mil purchase of a business this morning. My client, as usual, did not give me the details until last night via email and phone call. The agreement needed to be written and delivered to the title company by 10:00 a.m. Ordinarily, I can do this type of work in an hour of quiet time. Today, my head is in the beach house. It took me twice as long to finish the writing and I even struggled to compose the emails. Beach thoughts will do that to a person.
